"Two Fishermen", Vietnam, 2026
While the younger generation has left the villages of Thai Binh for higher wages in newly built factories, the older still practice a centuries-old fishing craft at low tide. The two fishermen lifted their nets to show how clams are gathered in the traditional way. As a cloud passed overhead, the symmetry suddenly became perfect — sky, water, net, fishermen, and even their conical hats forming one harmonic picture. Before I could explore more compositions, the cloud vanished, like it was never there.
