"Homage to Rothko No.7", Tod's Point, CT, 2026
The "Homage to Rothko" series draws inspiration from the mesmerizing work of Mark Rothko. While taking these photos, I aimed to evoke the textured, layered feeling of his paintings. This piece used Double Exposure of the same spot, one clearly focused on the horizon, another manually out-of-focus, to create a dream-like scene. Sugimoto meets Rothko.
