Paris Photo Prize just awarded my book, "a small number, but larger than zero", the Silver in the category of Book/Fine Art. It’s an honor to be recognized among so many brilliant photographers in this prestigious, world-renowned contest.
About Paris Photo Prize:
The Prix de la Photographie, Paris (PX3, Paris Photo Prize) is a photography award that strives to promote appreciation of photography, discover emerging talent, and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris. The Paris Photography Prize was founded in 2007 and has since become one of the most prestigious photography awards in Europe.
About the book:
One book. Two years of planning. Three chapters. From over forty thousand photos made in five years and six countries, all bound to one idea: Juxtaposition.
This book reflects my approach to minimalism: to simplify the world to as few elements as possible, but oftentimes more than one. By observing and waiting, relationships will emerge between them. The images themselves cannot speak. But when you look, you will see moments of loneliness, tenderness, and longing. These are not grand scenes, but small, almost negligible moments. Yet together, they amount to something larger than zero.
There's a few copies of the Founder's Edition(L.E. of 99) available at my shop. Grab it before it runs out!
