Solo Exhibition
"A Small Number, but Larger than Zero"
at YWCA Greenwich
I am thrilled to announce my sophomore solo exhibition is set to open at the Gertrude G. White Gallery in YWCA Greenwich, running from December 1st to 30th, 2025.
The exhibition is titled "A Small Number, but Larger than Zero", the same title as my first photo book. A selection of 30 photographs will be featured at the exhibition. All focused on no more than three subjects, the work show how quiet conversations were achieved through minimalist approaches.
I am deeply grateful to curator and gallery director Joan Carra. This exhibition would not have been possible without her enthusiasm and support.
A reception will be held on December 6th 2-4PM. Light drinks and refreshments will be served. I welcome you to explore the work, see the book, and talk with me about the inspirations behind it.

About Zili Zhang
Zili Zhang is an internationally awarded photographer based in Greenwich, CT. His work has also been recognized by the Smithsonian, Paris Photo Prize, Tokyo International Foto Awards, International Photography Awards, Fine Art Photography Awards, reFocus, Chromatic, and more.
Zhang’s work seeks quiet conversation through a minimalist approach. Geometry, motion, and color all serve to evoke a sense of inner peace and serenity. He believes timelessness lies behind every decisive moment, and that photography is not confined to location, but to seek something universal. Aiming to transform ordinaries into poetry, Zhang challenges the medium to transcend its traditional limits, embracing it not only as a tool for capturing reality but as a powerful means of artistic expression.
