"Blue and White No.6", Santorini, Greece, 2026
Before traveling to Greece, I was determined to seek out Blue and White, the colors of the Greek national flag. It was in Santorini that I found these colors in abundance. The elegant, simple white marble figurines, admired by Picasso and Moore, have been crafted in the Cyclades Islands since the Early Bronze Age—a tradition echoed today in the island's architecture. The white houses, engineering marvels in their own right, are built along the natural slopes. Their forms, whether straight or curved, intersect beautifully with the immense blue of the sky and ocean. Paired with the ever-changing hues of light, they offer endless opportunities for visual artists to explore color and shape. In this project, I embraced minimalist compositions while seeking connections between forms. From one perspective, a glass wall becomes a line; from another, window columns form a cross. Each photograph carries the excitement and joy I felt in those moments. I hope they bring you the same delight.
